Resurfacing and related work is now complete and we just started filling. In order to open the pool, we now have to get it re-bonded (hopefully occurring today) and have successful electrical and health inspections (hopefully Friday). The other issue with respect to a potential opening this weekend is the timing of a water test. We can schedule one once the pool is substantially full, but the results take 48 hours to obtain. We’re looking into potentially scheduling a test tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning. In either case, the likelihood of Saturday is slim. Sunday is still a distinct possibility, though.  We’ll continue to update the website as we learn more.

Try-outs will be held Wednesday, May 30th and Thursday, May 31st from 3:30pm-4:30pm.

This is an advanced cardio workout which includes cardio-aerobics and core muscle strengthening. Workouts are high intensity. This class is a great way to cross train for any athlete. Participants will tread water in the deep end of the pool therefore must be comfortable in deep water.  It is recommended that participants bring drinking water to stay hydrated.  Classes are Tuesday evenings from 7-7:50 pm and Saturdays from 9:30-10:20 am.  Classes start Saturday June 23rd.  You can register by logging in to Community Pass, chose New Providence Community Pool for the organization, then chose Community Pool Clinics & Classes 2012 for the activity in the next drop down menu.
