Welcome to the New Providence Community Pool Swim and Dive Teams!!

We look forward to seeing all our swimmers and divers back in the pool this summer!

Important Information for Swim and Dive Teams
Registration will be open May 7.

Team members must be members of the pool.  

Open to ages 6 to 18.
 

Fees
New swimmers and new divers should not register until they have tried out and made the team.  To make the swim team, swimmers must be able to swim one full lap of freestyle and one full lap of a stroke of their choice.  Swimmers should expect 45 to 60 minutes of continuous swimming during practices.  To make the dive team, divers must be able to pass the NPCP dive test. 
 

We are keeping fees the same for the third season in a row:
$200 swim team 
$175 dive team 
$335 for both teams 
 

$15 late fee will apply to any registrations made after midnight, June 11.
 

The discount for both teams also ends June 11.
 

Tryouts for NEW swimmers and NEW divers will be on Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 4 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. A child is only required to tryout one day; once the child tries out, he or she can leave. 
 

Practices will start the week of June 9th.  
 

As a reminder, no parents are allowed to attend or watch practice. There are no exceptions. For safety and other reasons, you may not be on the pool deck or speaking to coaches during practice times. If you need to discuss anything with a coach, please contact npcpswimdive@gmail.com.   Also, please park and pick up your child PROMPTLY at the front door to the pool at practice end time. Traffic conditions become dangerous for our children when parents pick up from the driving lane of the parking lot.
 

Swimsuit fittings will take place on Wednesday, June 11 from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m.  This is the second year of a two-year suit.

2025 Swim and Dive Team Refund Policy
All transactions are final.  Refunds will not be issued. 

Swim Practices
After school swim practices will take place Monday through Thursday from June 9 through June 17.  There will be no practice on Wednesday, June 18.  Below are the practice times:

3:30 – 4:30 p.m.    Ages 11 and Up
4:30 – 5:15 p.m.    Ages 9-10
5:15 – 6:00 p.m.    Ages 8 and Under
 

Regular season swim practices will take place Monday through Friday, beginning Thursday, June 19.  Below are the practice times:

9:00 – 10:00 a.m.      Ages 11 and Up
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.    Ages 9-10 
11:00 – 11:40 a.m.    Ages 8 and Under (or new 9-10 Year Olds, depending on ability; ask the coaches at tryouts)
 

There is no practice on Friday, July 4.
 

For Green team swimmers, Divisionals will be on Monday, July 28, and the Meet of Champions will take place Thursday, July 31.  The meet schedules are being developed.  Time trials to determine placement on the Green versus Gold team will take place during practice.  The date will be announced.
 

Dive Practices
After school dive practices will take place Tuesday through Thursday from June 10 through June 17.  There will be no practice on Wednesday, June 18.  Below are the practice times:

3:45 – 4:30 p.m. OR 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.    Diver’s Choice    
 

Regular season dive practices will take place Monday through Friday, beginning Thursday, June 19.  Below are the practice times:
 

9:00 – 10:00 a.m.      Competitive Ages 11 and Up
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.    Competitive Ages 10 and Under 
11:00 – noon.            Developmental All Ages
 

The coaches will inform your diver if he or she is competitive or developmental.

There is no practice on Friday, July 4.

The dive meet schedule is being developed.
